Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness in which suggestions are acted upon much more powerfully than is possible under normal conditions.
- Under hypnosis you are in a heightened state of awareness.
- In this state of awareness, you are able to learn much more quickly.
- In hypnosis the focus of your attention is narrower and your level of awareness on a focal point is much higher than in a normal state of consciousness.
- In hypnosis suggestions appear to go directly into the subconscious mind.
- Hypnosis is a safe and natural state that all of us experience daily.
During hypnosis we are moving the conscious mind out of the way so we can access the subconscious. Once we can work with the subconscious mind, we can access our memories.
We have a record of every life experience and these experiences are recorded by the deeper mind.
It is like having information stored on an old CD and once we access the right track, we can work with that memory safely.
For example, have you ever been driving and once you get to the destination you don’t recall the drive or while reading a great book you lose all sense of time. These are just two examples of being in an altered or trance like state. In hypnosis we are going into that trance like state on purpose.
In this trance like state you can access parts of your mind that are usually out of reach to our consciousness.
and Inner Child healing
My specialty is inner child healing. Hypnosis is a powerful method for this type of healing. I have been a practicing hypnotherapist since 2002. I have helped many clients successfully with hypnosis. Hypnosis is extremely effective in helping you heal from emotional trauma and childhood trauma. Hypnosis is also very effective for anxiety, depression, stress.
My passion is helping people heal their emotional wounds of childhood. I believe the pain we carry around from childhood gets acted out in our adulthood. These are the wounds of our inner child. There is a younger self who resides within each of us and that one is in pain. I believe your inner child is looking to heal. In order for the inner child to get attention we act out. We become depressed, anxious, have low self confidence, low self esteem, feel dis-empowered and these behaviors and feelings show up in our day to day life.
In hypnosis, with me, you will not be reliving a trauma. I work from a place of safety. You will feel safe and in control. My goal with clients, no matter the presenting problem, is to help them heal and feel safe in the process of healing.
Hypnosis is transformational
In a hypnotic state we can release and heal patterns and belief systems. We identify these old patterns and belief systems that are outdated but do not know they are no longer needed. We will look at the past through a safe lens and understand why these faulty belief systems were developed. We will heal those parts of you that learned at that young age it needed those coping skills. The deeper mind has no sense of time. If you developed certain coping skills at 10 years old and are still using them at 40, my guess is those coping skills are not working for you anymore. We will give you new coping skills that will be in alignment with your life now. You will heal the old wounds and emerge into a transformed new you feeling more empowered, confident and secure.
